France has quietly become one of Europe’s most active ConTech ecosystems. To make it visible, Contech Connect has mapped 260 French startups working across the whole life cycle of a building or infrastructure project: design, financing, construction, operation and end of life.

The map is organised into 12 segments. Together they show where French innovation is concentrated today, and where the gaps remain.
Two poles dominate: the jobsite and sustainability
The map splits into two large halves.
On one side are the tools that make projects run better: construction site management, project management and collaboration, alongside BIM and digital twins. This is the densest part of the ecosystem. Dozens of software companies help contractors plan, document, coordinate and deliver.
On the other side are the startups tackling construction’s environmental footprint: sustainability, energy, and materials. Together they reflect the pressure of French regulation, from RE2020 to the tertiary decree, and the urgency of decarbonisation.
The 12 segments of the map
BIM & digital twin
Startups that digitise buildings and infrastructure, from 3D scanning to model management and digital twins for operations. Examples: Resolving, Next-BIM, BIM&CO, Wizzcad, TCP, Acernis.
Construction site, operations, project management & collaboration
The largest category, covering planning, quality, reporting, subcontractor coordination, estimating and field data. Examples: Clovis, Siteflow, Teamoty, Obat, LeanCo, Notim, Bulldozair, Kaliti, Outmind, Fostr.ai, Ubiwan, Devisubox.
IoT, sensors & monitoring
Connected sensors and platforms that make sites and buildings measurable in real time. Examples: Asystom, Akidaia, Neoaxess, Altarad, Smart Connective.
Safety
Solutions that protect workers and secure sites. Examples: DigiSafe, Attestis.
Robotics & automation
From autonomous site machines to painting robots and cobotics. Examples: AIBOT, Aerial Cobotics, Gobano Robotics, Heracles Robotics, Minitrucks Robotics, PaintUp, Les Companions.
Prefabrication & modular construction
Moving work from the jobsite to the factory. Examples: Vestack, Terrio, Zen Modular, Beyond Feasible, Smart Cast.
Materials & advanced manufacturing
Low-carbon cements, bio-based and recycled materials, and new manufacturing processes. Examples: Materrup, Ostrea, Woodoo, Purenat, NeoCem, Technocarbon, Neolife, GeoClay, Kompozite.
Marketplace & supply chain
Platforms that connect buyers, suppliers, equipment and labour, including reuse marketplaces. Examples: Cycle Up, Sharemat, Koncrete, Bonx, Gofer, asap.work, Fixers, Construex, Materiaux.archi.
Asset & facility management
Tools for managing buildings once they are delivered. Examples: Offroad, Witco, Muodim, MyAssetRocks.
Energy
Energy performance, renewables, storage, building management systems and electric charging. Examples: Wattsense, Enerdrape, Newable, OrusEnergy, Qualisteo, Arkeon, Swoop, Caeli Energie, Sensewaves.
Sustainability
Carbon measurement, biodiversity, climate resilience and environmental data. Examples: Carbon Saver, Urban Circus, Kumulus, Cycloid, ClimeFi, Kraken, Hiboo, Oris, AEC Forward, Albedyo.
Waste & other
Solutions for construction waste and excavated soil. Examples: Hesus and waste marketplaces.
What the map tells us
1. Software leads, hardware is catching up. Digital tools for the jobsite and BIM still make up the bulk of French ConTech. Robotics, prefabrication and advanced materials are smaller but growing segments, and the ones where Europe can build industrial leaders.
2. Decarbonisation is a market, not a slogan. The weight of the sustainability, energy and materials segments shows that French startups are turning regulatory pressure into business models.
3. Fragmentation is both a strength and a challenge. Many startups address similar problems in project management and collaboration. For corporates, it means rich choice. For founders, it means consolidation, partnerships and international expansion will matter more and more.
Meet them in Paris
Many of these startups exhibit, pitch or speak at Contech Connect every year. In 2027, the conversation grows into Paris ConTech Week, 11–14 May, with Contech Connect as its flagship day on Wednesday 12 May at Station F.
